One of the biggest grips every blogger on the Internet seems to have with the Nexus One is that it is only sold through Google’s online store. The fact that you can’t walk into a carrier’s store and physically inspect a $529 phone before you make a purchase is a major problem for many consumers. I own a Nexus One, and I can attest that I was a little wary of dropping nearly $600 on a cell phone before I had even used it.
I’m glad to say that, very soon, this cold all change! According to various sources, the Nexus One will be available for purchase in T-Mobile retail locations within a month! One source tells me that T-Mobile will begin selling the Nexus One and accessories in stores before the end of April, which is a very exciting prospect!
I can’t validate this information with 100% certainty, so for now I’m filing this under the Rumors category. However, if this is true, it’s a move that would only make sense after the underwhelming sales of the Nexus One in comparison to other smartphone launches.
